Plans for State seizure of private capital being put in place

Ministers are seeking access to the bank details of virtually everyone in the country

The Government is to change the law to require the banks and private companies to hand over details of earnings. Employers will also be required to hand over payroll details each month, rather than on an annual basis.

The scheme, due to be phased in during the next three years, will involve a ‘massive data-matching exercise’ to cross-check payments made to benefit recipients against their declared earnings.

A Government source said: ‘Having information on a monthly basis will allow HMRC to keep track of what is going on with people’s earnings'

FACT - No doubt the ultimate aim behind this - State appropriation of private capital from those first denounced as 'hoarders', 'enemies of the people' or just 'Jews'.

It been obvious to everyone that income tax alone can't keep the Eurocrats going, especially as mobile staff move to lo-tax regimes. It's inevitable within the next 15 years that the State, having sold everything it 'owns', will begin confiscating private assets under some trumped-up pretext. But first they need every bank account of every citizen to be on their cross-linked database to UKBA, HMRC, DSS, Council Tax, Police ANPR, DVLA etc.

All predicted of course - How it Ends.

  • Wow! Who needs Identity Cards when you can have this sort of database! Big Brother is certainly going to be watching us!

I note that is is being extended, eventually to everyone in work.

Does that mean all of us frail old pensioners can safely continue to fiddle our taxes? I just wonder if - when they get around to 'raping' the accounts, and taking money out at a whim, wether we would have any recourse under the "Direct Debit Guarantee".

HMRC is well known for it's accuracy with calculations.

And all government agencies/departments are well known for keeping personal data safe.

Off course it helps that they aren't cutting the number of staff in HMRC et al.

    <rolls eyes>
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

"It's the end of the world as we know it"

"It's the final countdown, woo-oo, wahey, waaa, waaa, aha, ee, oooh" etc as Jon Bon Bovi Jovi sang and last week he did an interview saying that despite all his rock star fame and money and wife and loads of kids and current successful world tour he's drinking too much and getting fat cos he's "BORED TO TEARS"

Yeah, it's tough at the top.

And it's even worse at the bottom.

"It's the final countdown, waaaa, hey, lalala da di dah..."

Indeed that's true. All achieved by the simple device of paying a few £billions to consultants to build new systems for them.

Phase 2 is called "NITWIT" [National Income Tax Withdrawl Information Technology]. It has flexible budgetry technology that basically eliminates tax returns and self-assessmentIt will be coupled to a new law that basically allows governments to spend whatever it likes, whenever it likes, and overnight, the money will be "allocated" around every single taxpayer according to an automated algorithm that knows how rich you are, what you are earning, and how you're spending you money. Hence an extremely good system for ensuring no Government Defecit ever again.

And all HMRC staff can be put on the dole where they belong.

    I'm warming to it already.
  • Think we'll just close our bank accounts and store the money in the loft in a fire proof box, probably be much safer :rotfl:.
Could'nt get much less interest either.

Ah! There's an answer to that one. It's the "North Korea Tax". Simply reissue the currency every now and again. All cash in your accounts automatically 'safe'. You're allowed to go and change "Pocket Money" (say £500 max) for the new currency.

    Any more than £500? Then you'll get 3 £New for every 10 £Old

Ve have vays of making you skint!

Got my answer to that myself then...

I've thought for a long time that this country's well and truly stuffed(trying to be polite).
Since we joined the EU we've never been the same with stupid rules and regulations covering every point of our lives.
I remember back then all the propaganda, stuffing people's heads with all the rubbish that we'd be all better off and how wonderful it would be.
I was around eighteen at the time of the referendum, never voted before for anything but even then could see it would never work so voted no.
I bet all those who voted yes could kick themselves now.
We've went steadily downhill ever since.
I feel sorry for the younger generation as things can only get worse.
