                    Hi all
I'm new to this site so please bear with me. I recently found out when applying for a job that I have a CCJ registered against my name, its a couple of years old and the debt has been paid so it's registered as satisfied with the court. I didn't know anything about it until recently and think that it's something one of my family members got in my name and now denies. What I'm wondering is, is there any way of getting it removed from my credit rating? I was hoping to move house next year and think that this might stop me from getting a mortgage. Would I need to go to a solicitor?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you contact the court house direct they will be able to send you out a form to apply to have it set aside, on the basis that you weren't aware of it and dispute the debt then you should have a strong case for this.0

Needs clarification, but I think OP means that there was a CCJ and it was paid off before it was discovered. So OP has not really acknowledged the debt at allGood luck, but by it been paid you admitted to itHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
