Holiday win..can anyone translate French!!

I have just had a phone call to say that I have won a Trip to California for a family of 4:j. Many thanks to Amilucky for the post. Unfortunately the t&c's are in French.

I wasn't sure whether the call was genuine and didn't pay enough attention and was also in shock. I believe it is flights only with a trip to the Levi factory. Therefore we would need to get accommodation and food etc. The gentleman said that the Agency arranging the trip would contact me by email but I would like to checked out the t&c's beforehand if possible.

So is there any French speakers out there please.

If you go to that page and hit 'Contact' Windows Live Mail appears with mail address of competiition.
Tried Google translate but only does English to English on web address.
If you look a bottom of competition page says you will get a voucher for so many Euros towards travel.
Hope it's a goodie.

I've had a quick look, and the rules seem to be pretty much standard stuff about who can enter, how winners will be notified etc etc. The only bit specifically about the prize says that the prize includes flights and the trip to the factory, but excludes hotels, taxis, airport taxes etc. Then there is some more stuff about contacting the organisers for a list of winners and stuff about privacy rules.

Hope this helps a bit, sorry I couldn't write out a translation of all of it but it's a bit too long! Can't see anything that is really that vital though, other than the things I have mentioned above.

If you look at the rules, article 4 talks about your trip specifically...and appears to say that the prize you have won is a return ticket to SF for 4, a trip to the LEvi factory for 4, to the value of up to 5000 Euros.

Dates to be decided by the organising company (presumably in discussion with you!!)

The next sentence then says, that this trip incluides all feautres pertaining to the journey - the bit in brackets has the word 'ex' which either means 'excluding', or....and more likely...'for example' as it details a list including 'plane ticket' ~(which is def included!), hotel and taxi etc, within the overall 5k
Euro limit.

Insurances etc are expressly the responsibility of the individual.

If it's a child who has won, they must be accompanied by an adult.

I remember this comp I very nearly didn't post it because I wasn't sure if it was open to UK entrants :eek:
