New dyson - which is best and cheapest?

I am looking to replace my DC07 dyson vacuum cleaner that I have worn out over the last 5 years and I am looking for the best deal on a new one. Also I would like advice as to which ones people think is best.

I am after another upright as I like them and I would like to be able to still use my extra animal brush cleaner attachment as this is like new.

I await your infinite wisdom. ;)

We have a DC07 too (for about 10 years now) and have been toying with the idea of replacing it, however a couple of years ago we got Dyson out to service it for £69 and it was like a new machine. It's a fixed cost and they replace every part they need to to get it tip top again (practically everything in our case!).

If you wanted a new lease of life out of it that's certainly the cheapest solution. There's something nice about having a new one but you'll pay a lot more for that obviously.

Don't use a long word when a diminutive one will suffice.

There are some reviews on Reevoo that might be worth trawling through - only about 5 pages.

I am surprised these vacuum cleaners appear to clunk out after 10yrs. I have a Bosch vacuum cleaner and have had it for about 15/20yrs, still working as good as new, if not nearly as good as.

I've had 2 dysons die on me :( Both only 4 years old :(
I am trying my best not to get another one - but they do seem to suck more than other manufacturers (pun intended).
  • Our Dyson DC14 must be about 5 years old now and it's been absolutely bulletproof. It's the cheapest upright Dyson do now too. The latest upright model DC33 might be worth a look too - it's a bit more expensive but a bit lighter. I think your Animal attachment should work on any new Dyson.

As for finding the cheapest, there is a list of the best deals here:
