Brittania building society mortgage- mortgage payment discrepancy

I've just switched my mortgage from Nationwide to Brittania on their 3.99% fixed for 5 yr deal. Their mortgage offer letter stated our monthly mortgage would be £1244.xxp but now that we've completed, we had a mortgage completion statement stating that our mortgage monthly payment would be £1250 per month. Im on a 14 yr term for £160,000 mortgage loan and all the mortgage calculators i;'ve checked (the mse one and the moneymadeclear.org.uk one) all confirm the figure for £1244. I've queried it with Brittania and the guy is gonna look into it and get back to me.
Could brittania try and make me pay £1250 when I agreed to £1244?
Also just wanted tio highlight this to anyone who may have gone with Brittania lately. Check to see if the figures they have quoted are correct!

There haven't been any fees added on to your mortgage balance (rather than paid up front) have there? I would be interested in hearing Britannia's response...0

No we paid the fees seperately, didnt add it to the mortgage. AM still awaiting for them to ring me. Will phone them tomorrow and update the post when they get back to me0 -
With more information we may be able to shed some light.
When did you complete the mortgage (drawdown) and when is the first monthly payment due.
Also when does the fixed term of the mortgage actually end.0 -
First payment is 1st Dec 2010 (this will be one with broekn interest therefore we're paying £1776)
1st Jan 2011 will be first regular payment which brittania are saying is £1250
fixed rate ends on 31st august 20150 -
What's their standard variable rate (which I assume you go on to after the expiration of the fixed rate)? Is it currently higher than 3.99%?0

not sure, think its 4.x. will check when I get home. I've been on the blower to brittania today and no one can give me an answer to why there is a discrepancy. I've been passed on to 3 diff departments :mad:0
