Ideas for colour themes presents

I saw a picture on one of the threads on this forum of a "pots of gold" gift which was packed really well.
I was thinking of organising gifts a little different this year and though I would go with the pots of gold idea but have different coloured themes for each individual/pair.
I need some ideas though, so please help me where possible.
I am thinking of getting a white pot to put in a white and silver iPod shuffle, a white box of guylan chocolates, and other little chocolates which are wrapped in white or silver packaging. Should I add one more colour to this since white is a little tricky? I'm not sure what else to put in, as it is an important present and I have bought so many gifts for him this year and over the years I am running out of ideas. I was thinking white or grey socks, but he doesn't wear those colours so it would be a waste I think. I want the items to be special though, even if it is daily wear, so I don't mind spending extra money here.
I was then looking to make other ones for my parents etc. My mum likes maxi dresses but never buys them so I was thinking of getting one for her and matching her pot with the dress. The material is normally light so I would probably be able to fold it well.
The for couples such as brother and his wife, sister and her husband etc., I was just thinking of making it 2 in 1. However I have no idea what gifts to get anymore.
I know adding matching chocolates (wrapped) in each would go well but what other items?

Some ideas for white: http://www.thewhitecompany.com/
You didn't say what colours the others were going to be. Or are you going to choose their main present and then match it?
Or for something more money saving, perhaps:
http://www.dunelm-mill.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?freeText=white&storeId=10551&catalogId=11100&langId=-1
E.g. you can get white towelling-flannel mittens for 99p. Could even slash out and get him one for each hand!
Or for only 74p you can get the extra small (9" x 9" x 6") willow storage basket (in white, of course) to put all the stuff in. I would like that, if it were me.

Thank you for your reply.
I don't mind the other colours, whether going through to blue, purple, red, pink etc. and also because they will be for a pair so will have him and her gifts in them, so I'm not too fussed. I'm going to look at the link you've posted to see what I can add.
Edit: That storage basket looks great! I'm going to order a few of those in case they're too small. Actually I don't think the black one is available. There's no option for it, and if I click on white, then it comes with a different colour inside, I'll have to see if I can find a way to get the black by searching through the site. I will be adding black to this colour scheme too.Debt free

Hi anhf
I like your idea and hope that after putting a lot of time and effort into your colour themed gifts, especially if they are expensive, that your family will appreciate it too.
An alternative, if you run out of ideas, is for each person to have their presents individually wrapped in a specific colour and fancy ribbon. And it will be one way the presents won't get mixed up.0 -
That's a good idea.
I think I will keep the black/white/silver theme for one present, then for another person I will do a cupcake theme and for the smaller presents I will keep a colour scheme. I guess I'll be making trips to buy the big tins of chocolate soon. I'm also thinking of getting chocolate golf balls because they're wrapped in white but I need to search for them.Debt free

I'm making my mam a chocolate themed hamper, had have expanded it to now include 'things that are brown' lol in the interest of having a decent non-fattening gift in there.
I'm also gonna cheat and just wrap a couple of non themed gifts in brown tissue paper.
My coloured/scented items are - candle, lip gloss, eyeshadow, bubble bath, blanket, scarf, gloves, slippers, necklace, bedsocks.
hope that gives you some ideas. if your interested in a choc hamper let me know and ill tell you what i've got already. It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

Yep.
I have seen on the link posted above, a tray which has different cupcake designs on it. It looks really funky. So with that I might put a cake tin, or cake stand, cake baking/decorating tools instead of buying ready made collections like in BHS which are expensive for what you get. I'm going to look around more and when I come up with a good combination I'll add it here.Debt free

Chocolat by ? forgotten who - a woman
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
I've got some lovely jigsaws that have old fashioned scenes and relate to Cadbury's chocolate.
If you want something completely different you could also think about 'Mars' chocolates.
