I wouldn't bank on these being worth anything on the fact that they're saying they're limited edition. Lucas also publically stated he would never release the original films on DVD so people would buy the last trilogy and not wait for the original releases... The guy'll do anything for a quick buck so take anything they say with a pinch of salt if I were you..
And yes, there will of course be an ultimate box collection at some point..0 -

Then of course he will remake them.0 -

That will be the same person who said THX could never be released on video tape as the dynamic range was not wide enough, until they re-released them in the remastered format then he pushed them as THX.
IIRF there have been at least 6 releases of Starwards on Video, the Standard, Widescreen, , Standard Remastered THX and Widescreen remastered THX, Then they re-did the sspecial effect and re-released them as standard and widescreen.
Not bad if you think thats before you add in the DVD releases, I know I have a VHS and DVD copy of each film, (I know suckered in)0 -

You might want to reach for the "inappropriate post" button in a minute; but when did this happen? I've seen them all, and I'm afraid I saw the 1977 release in 1977...
Was it when he's in the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon with Leia?

Oh - and I see that CD-WOW referr to someone called "Hans" Solo. Is this the German version?0 -

This refers to the shooting of Gredo in the bar. Originally Han shoots him but in the newer versions Lucas felt this was "too aggressive" and made Han come across as less of a hero so they added in a shot from Gredo (that they obviously had to make miss) a split second before Han shoots. It was largely derided by fans of the film who didn't like the change which is why they're using it as a specific example of what you can see in this version but not the later ones..0 -

The rumour is Lucas will release the definative collection on Blu-ray disks, (he likes blueray and not HDDVD) nad for the 30th Anniiverasry he wants to release all 6 in 3D, although probably one a year to keep it in peoples memory.0 -
