Hi
I currently have a mortgage for 150,000 have never defaulted on my mortgage, but have on all my credit cards which now some are with recovery agents. I want to sell my house and my mum sell hers and buy one large house and still only keep the original 150,000 mortgage. Will I have to have a new mortgage? and if I do what are my chances of my lender agreeing? hope someone can help

You could apply to 'port' your current mortgage to a new property but this is at the lenders discretion and subject to meeting criteria. This is assuming your current mortgage is portable.
You will struggle to get a mortgage with defaults, but it depends how much for and when.
