I have a sheet like this although mine is a divan based bed, i first turn my mattress over or around and dont worry about the sheet getting crumpled. This is my method :

1: push the mattress in an upright position so its leaning against the wall while its still on the bed also.
2: I then sort out the sheet and straighten it in position.
3: let the mattress fall into position
4: give the sheet a couple of tugs here and there where the mattress caused movement when it comes crashing down, although i do try to ease the fall at the other end by putting the pillows there at the edge of the base.

I have base valanced sheets because i could never get the correct depth with fitted valance and you could always see the castors on the bed.

the last time i turned our kingsize one on my own i broke two bedside tables and a table lamp. it was alike a slow motion film as it went over and i thought i had it but didn't. it didn't even end up on the bed !.

since then hubby has always helped. it is a breeze for him as he very big and strong and can do it on his own with no prob. but i like to help him and get in the way,lol
