I'm very excited!!

I just ordered my dress pattern today - I've had my eye on it for about 2 months but couldn't find it anywhere at a reasonable price, until I found it 1/2 price on an online sewing shop :j

It's ever so slightly naughty of me as we have not yet found a venue or set a date so I really shouldn't be doing anything until that's sorted, but I knew it was the pattern I wanted so I went for it! *does happy dance round the room*

I don't want to risk posting a link as H2B is an occasional lurker, but it is gorgeous and I can't wait to get started on it...

:D:D:D

  • That is absolutely gorgeous, you're going to look amazing!

And I am completely 100% jealous that you have the skills to make that! I want to make some doorstops so got out a mini sewing machine which I've never used (it was a present, i was so excited to get it, but then have never had a reason to use it!) and i can't even thread the sodding thing!

today is a day when I fail at life.
  • I tell you what, I will be terrified when I actually start cutting the real fabric!! I've made dresses before, but nothing that mattered this much, so am a wee bit scared...

Threading a needle takes practice, patience and good light! It used to take me ages, but you develop a knack if you do it often enough :D

I have decided to post a link for a short while, as I'm hogging the computer this evening to study, so he won't get to lurk!

Must remember to remove the link before I log out though ;)

EDIT: link now removed, feel free to PM me if you want a peek!

    Right, back to work... :A

I will amend it slightly as I don't want the back so low and want a V-neck at the front cos it suits me better. The back will have a slight cowl neck, and I am going to make it in oyster silk. The train will also be integral to the dress instead of detachable.

    Right, back to work... :A

Thats a beautiful pattern, I wish I could sew I wouldnt know where to even start....
