Spotted on the Venture website. Full picture prices ridiculously expensive, but the hour in the studio and the picture you get at the end are worth it in my own opinion

I can't speak personally but I have heard from a couple of people that Venture push a very hard sell for very expensive products. However if you can say NO then this sounds liek a good deal.1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100
MFW 2013 no. 62 £10,000/£10,000
MFW 2014 no 62 £8000/£70000 -

Been to one shoot before (in Lichfield), no hard sell there, all in all a good experience.0 -
Have been twice severel years apart to different places and thoroughly enjoyed both BUT very hard sell afterwards and I did succumb ...
I would recomend contacting a local photographer to see what whole packages are on offer. 1 hour in the studio plus a CD with loads of touched up pictures you can get copies of yourself might be as low as £800 -
My brother bought a package for us. They tried the hard sell but we didn't for it. The pictures are lovely though, and we had a fun time with our son (10 months at the time)0

Its a good deal but be aware when you see the photos they put them on a big screen and you want them so much as they look fantastic so end up spending £100's, from somebody who has approx £2000 worth of their photos on my walls

This company don't like no for an answer, they phone and phone and phone! But if you are equally as persistant in your reply you may be in for a good deal. I leave them well alone. My 'experiance' was with the Rochdale branch so their others may be better.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

Don't be put off!
I had them done last year and it was great fun! Only problem was that every picture they showed us were absolutely fantastic and I wanted to buy them all!
I actually placed an order with them but when I told family & friends how much it was costing I had the same reaction from them all!! FAR TOO EXPENSIVE!
I knew it was alot of money so I cancelled the order and just had the small one which is gorgeous.

We did it a few years back and it is very difficult to say no. They invite you back to see the photos on a big wall, playing M People and plying you with a free drink. We ended up paying £140 for 4 8x10 photos. They played M People for a friend of mine too and he paid £1400. Beware of the M People track. The cost will keep moving on up.I'm sure I went upstairs for some reason.0

We went earlier this year after a friend gave us a voucher for a similar offer. Unfortunately we had to cancel and change the date as our little one was poorly but rearranged for the following week.
They charged us £25 for cancelation (they take your card details at time of booking) but said they would refund it when we came in and made our order. Anyway we had the photos done which was fine..... but then the hard sell.
We has decided before that we would only take the free pic and try not to be taken in by the sales tactics. However we did decide to upgrade the pic we chose to make it a bit bigger at an additoinal cost of £90. They were NOT happy and then refused to refund the original cancelation fee as we had not spent enough! The woman we had said they expected their customers to spend at least £1000 and that basically we were cheap for not doing so.
I did remind her that both sets of grand parents were still to see the photos and she had no idea how many they would want or what they might spend but it made no difference. They just can't see beyond that sale or future investment. ( had we had a great experience we could go back every year or tell all our friends) Anyway we wont EVER go back i would not recommend to anyone..... Hope this helps someone save some money!0
