Get on down to Somerfields and pick up their free Feb mag and find on pages 6 & 7:
£5 off Talisker Whisky
50p off both merlot and chardonnay
50p off two types of Parazone wipes
All are Somerfields coupons(but were previosly acceptable at my Tesco) and are valid to 9/3/5 with a scannable life probably well beyond that....................

Are you allowed to use Somerfield coupons in Tesco?
I have managed to scan through some Somerfield coupons on a Tesco selfscan and worked out that it allows you to scan approx 25% of your shopping.
However, are Tescos able to redeem these coupons?
I know that Asda lets you use other supermarket coupons but am not sure if this is the case with Tescos?0 -
Seems that Tesco accept the money off coupons from somerfields mag, just like they accept Sainsburys coupons! Again it depends which Tesco's you use and the stores individual policy.!"£$%^&*()0

My local Tesco accepted them yesterday..... but refused them today
Do ASDA accept them?
Also, anyone know what Morrison's policy on other supermarkets coupons is?
Thanks (only been a member for a week.... already saved loads!!)I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
For all of you posting on here about using these coupons in Tesco. I know they are partly to blame for accepting them when they shouldn't but do you not feel guilty that your actions are making it harder for others to use genuine coupons and could even make Tesco stop taking vouchers altogether. Tesco cannot get the money back for these so they are losing money on them.
By all means use total spend coupons but stop using all these others, is it really worth making a quick buck now at the expense of long-term moneysaving??0 -

I agree, and according to people posting on Bobs, Tesco are getting fed up with it. They don't really help themselves, though - my mother says the cashiers at her store are happy to take them as there are banners up which say "we take Sainsbury's vouchers" and the cashiers themselves say this applies to all of them!! Really they should ensure staff are trained correctly in a consistent policy.0 -
I particularly dislike this bit:Quiet_One wrote:

What else do you do, buy a rucksack and fill it with stuff so you don't have to pay for it??0 -

Darren again as I stated in the other thread, My Tesco's accepts somerfields vouchers and many others do also! Don't you understand that the policies are different in different parts of the country? Each store has an individual policy. It is not abusing the system by using somerfield coupons whatsoever as they gladly accept them (been verified with my store manager), mainly due to obvious competiton like sainsburys etc they will honour these coupons.!"£$%^&*()0 -
I agree David, I have received an email from Tesco HQ that states they accept other supermarket vouchers at the moment. Therefore, people that are using them in some areas of the country are doing nothing wrong at all.
That is not to say that some Managers may not allow it.
If someone states that we are ripping off the supermarkets then they are wrong. This is healthy competition. Tesco would rather you spend £10.00 with a few coupons off, then go to Asda/Sainsburys and spend £10.00 there.0
