Farepack sad christmas

Christmas is coming, during the year you start planning by paying your hard earned cash everyweek and looking forward to the day your hamper, shopping vouchers arrive. then your heard on the news that the company providing the hampers has gone into liquidation and you will not get your money back.
I feel saddened for all those people most of them this is the only way they can afford to celebrate christmas who is going to loose out.
I think it is about time the law is changed to favour the ordinary folks rather than the creditors.

I know. I heard too and also feel sad for those that are unlikely to get anything in return for their savings.Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0

I also feel very sorry for the folks that have lost out. Please don`t get me wrong but I guess many of the people paying into this would have been on tight budgets and now look forward to a dismal Christmas.
Sorry to say, this is pretty indicative of the boom, bust, lets go bankrupt Uk.Wish I knew what was going on!0 -
there is a thread about this on the new Christmas message boards. It is disgusting that they have taken everybodys money all year and 2 weeks before the vouchers are due to be sent out they go into receivership. People have saved all year and thought that at least they were alright for Christmas and now have nothing to show for it. Agents have taken money from friends and relatives only to have to go back to them and tell them that it is all gone. I panicked when I heard about it because I save for vouchers for myself and my Mum and Dad, luckily for us we are with Park and they are not affected. I feel so sorry for those affected - where has all the money gone ? Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0

Its terrible - theres a lot of pensioners who save this way as well to give the grandchildren stuff - my grandparents used to save to get high st vouchers. I hope everything works out for people stung in this way.0

Oh I saw this on the 6 o'clock news. I was disgusted and angry.
Mostly I believe it is people who struggle to make ends meet who save all year for this and they are let down without so much as an apology.
Yes I agree - the law should be changed. How is this fair in any way to those who cannot afford to be robbed of hundreds of pounds.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

Spoke to a few more today who have lost a lot of money, most on limited budgets which is why they saved with them, pleased I didn't go for it this year as I have in the past. Think I'll stick to buying my own vouchers from stores I will buy presents from over the year. One day I might be more organised...........
