Mine did the same - I got the 6 bottle one from Play and every day they'd be a puddle of drips from the optics on the base.

Decided to send it back for a refund - the ease of dispensing drinks wasn't worth the cost of lost alcohol.
  • Many years ago now, my grandfather won one of those 5 gallon bottles of Bells in a raffle, complete with stand and optic. The optic must have leaked on that, as well, because with only two drinkers in the house, it had all gone in a week....

Actually - come to think of it, there's a serious point to this. If you want to empty your drinks cabinet, just put the bottles on an optic and leave glasses around. The wife's coffee will start to smell funny, even the cat's milk won't last as long as it used to, (and the cat will sleep a lot more); and next doors kids will be remarkably quiet for the time of year.....

I got one of these below to replace mine; it pours 25 ml out for you. I got mine in selfridges for about £6.99 but you can find them cheaper on eaby:beer:

    A word of warning!

It may of just been a faulty one but my partner got me a double one the other year and i ended up loosing half a bottle of vodka as it leaked after a couple of weeks of having it. If you get one keep an eye on it.
Are you sure you're partner didn't have one or three extra's? lol

I have got the 4 bottle version from Robert Dyas , I think i paid 19.99 for it 8 months ago, not a single drop has ever leaked (in the wrong place) from it and believe me it gets lots of use and all 4 dispensers are reguarly used!

They do make great additions to your front room, especially if you are a bachelor like me

It did pass my mind when I first seen the bottle but I seen the puddle on the worktop :(. He can’t stomach spirits (I have witnessed it) as it passed my mind that the puddle could have been water but I got the flashback of him drinking spirits and a bucket _pale_, no bucket was out that night.
