I was going to make the Parkin that Ruby Pudding kindly put up the recipe for...
I want to make it now, now, now but I don't have any greaseproof paper  In the recipe it says to grease the tin then line with greaseproof paper. Would it work if I just grease the tin with butter and leave out the GP?
Thanks in advance.

Errrmmmm....no idea!
It is very sticky though....you might have a bit of trouble getting it out of the tin...:think:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Offering advice now MRBE, now that's the sign of an expert!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
PS how are you getting on with multiple fiancees? Can I be a bridesmaid at the wedding? I may be old but I've never been a bridesmaid!!You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Thanks MrBE, didn't make it in the end, sat with baited breath waiting to be given the go ahead but no answers came!
Will get some greaseproof paper tomorrow and make it then, have broken my 23rd annual diet so want to break it in style!0
