Hi Im really hoping someone can help me out...
I need to buy ohs family some token gifts (they do Christmas differently to what Im used to - His Mum will buy him a gift and his dad will buy him a gift??) So I need to buy his Mum, Dad and Brother and Sister a token gift this year (a present from both of us isnt doable and I racked my brain for ages thinking for his ideas and have none left for me!!! doh!)
Mum - 60something a tea drinker, likes bridge, likes gardening, likes Cliff Richard??? (OH has got her a Baileys Mug and something else)
Dad - 60something a tea drinker, likes cricket, likes gardening? (OH has got him a Chefs apron and something else)
Brother - 30something (has downs syndrome so no alcohol etc) Likes dvds erm mars bars?? (OH has bought him a Mug with Sweets in and a HMV Voucher)
Sister - Teenager (has downs syndrome so again no alcohol etc) likes high school musical, musicals on the west end, cats?(OH has got her a smelly set thing and a HMV voucher)
I really dont want to spend more than £5 on each of them which I know is a bit tight but well moneys not exactly flowing
I really hope some one can help Ive hit a serious mental block for them (my brain died after doing ohs shopping for them!!!)

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

Visit a garden centre, maybe you'll get gift ideas of things you can put together for cheaper, something like gardening gloves in a mug type thing. Or how about a little set of hand care for gardening hands like soap, hand cream, nail brush in a flower pot with some flower seeds all wrapped in cellophane with a bow on the front.
How about a calendar each for the kids.Debt Free: 01/01/20200 -
How about having a look on Ebay to see if there's anything 'collectible' for sale re Cliff Richard? He has a huge fan base - there's bound to be some souvenirs perhaps dating back to his early days which she would appreciate (in her sixties so I'm assuming she's been a follower right through his career). Often these sorts of things can only cost a few pounds - you know, early programmes, signed photos, magazines, posters.... could be a real nostalgia trip for her! See if you can find out when she first became a fan - did she go to a particular concert? When/where was it? That would be a really good starting place; if you could get a memento of that concert she'll think its fantastic.
Sister who is into High School musical; how about buying her a set of cheerleader's pom-poms? Once again you'll get them on Ebay or some fancy dress/costume shops sell them. Or see if there is fan magazine you could subscribe to (providing it doesn't cost too much!).0 -
Isn't that a strang thing to do.!! Why do they not give joint presents?0

Differnt families do have odd ways of doing things (i.e differnt to your own way) Mind you my OH would never survive if he had to do all his won shopping. He struggles enough with just me
Have a look here:http://www.whittard.co.uk/store/catalogue/Gifts-P1000/3-for-2-Gift-Ideas-SC342/?pageoffset=ALL

Although Im currently being mean and thinking Bro and Sis can have a £1.80 Xmas Selection Box from Tescos and Ill find them something small and nice or not

depending on your willingness to put in effort and time/skill, how about a jar of nuts/bird feed, for my dad i have an old coffee jar, and am going to fill it with seed or peanuts and write a nice tag and some ribbon around it.
you could do a tea set - nice mug/s variety of different teas, and some nice biscuits
dvds are fairly cheap so dvd for bil or sil?
you could make some fudge/cookies/biscuits. i make coconut ice for our family. its easy and waitrose online have a nice recipe!0 -
