Halifax mortgage - credit file checked daily!?

Hi,
I'm in the middle of applying for a mortgage with Halifax. They have just asked for some more documentation which I'm sending to my broker to pass on.
My concern is that looking at my credit report there have been a credit check EVERY day since I put in my application.
26/10 - Credit Application Type: First Mortgage
This is fair enough as I put in my full application that day.
27/10 - Credit Application Type: Unrecorded Enquiry
28/10 - Credit Application Type: Unrecorded Enquiry
29/10 - Credit Application Type: Unrecorded Enquiry
30/10 - Credit Application Type: Unrecorded Enquiry
02/11 - Credit Application Type: Unrecorded Enquiry
03/11 - Credit Application Type: Unrecorded Enquiry
04/11 - Credit Application Type: Unrecorded Enquiry
That's a credit check all day every day since I put my application in. Even on a Saturday! (30/10 is Sat)
I am worried. Is it normal for a lender to be checking so vigilantly?
Is this likely to negatively impact my credit file? I'm guessing not as it's categorised as unrecorded?
Thanks,

The unrecorded ones will have no impact at all as no other lender will see they have happened.0

They did the same to us, mortgage went through though after a fairly long drawn out, send us more paperwork, give us more deposit delay. I think in total we had 14 checks from them in a row, but we're in our house now and happy.0

Every time somebody does something with your application this will happen.
It does mean it's being checked on regularly!0 -

How long did it take for you to get your mortgage offer at the end?
I'm guessing at this stage if they were to reject my application they would have done it by now. I've got nothing to hide really so it should only be a matter of time.
Fingers crossed.0 -

I guess that's better than getting left at the bottom of the pile.
At least I'll know either way soon.0 -

From start to finish, just under two months. We did have a fair few "we need proof of salary from employer" bits as they couldn't understand that holiday pay made monthly wages slightly different, and then they came back and asked us for another 5% deposit which thankfully we had.
Once they sent the offer though everything flew along and we were in the house a week later.
Good luck
