Edwardian Farm Starts Wednesday

Well I left this catfight early and am pleased to say I've been down to the farm and grabbed Peter and I've got him up here with me. So nanananana :j
:j
He's busy makin me porridge.
No doubt he will have milked the cow for the top of the cream and added salt to yer porridge no? hehehehehe
I have decided to step out of the catfight too - as I was coming back from the meet today, I decided to go and see DH at work in the allotment, thinking "why am I going on about dark and handsome Peter when I am married to Lady Chatterley's Lover? He will be there on our field, in the semi-darkness, disheveled, working the land bare-chested, with his bare hands, muscles rippling and sweat glistening..." and got myself quite worked up
No such luck - he was on his way back as I was walking there and I did not see any glistening, any rippling, any nothing, just his usual lovely gentle self, all wrapped up in a warm jacket and with a knackered look on his face. You know what, I liked him all the same! :T So we walked back together and I made him a cup of tea.
But I shall still look at the farm programme and have the odd secret though....Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
just glad the poor chicken did'nt have to go down the chimney.
Am with you on that - as he was stroking the chicken and talking I was like NONONONONONO, and breathed such a sight of relief when he bunged down the holly instead!
But then that poor chicken got chucked off the roof , couldn't have landed very comfortably, poor little thing! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Oooooh Cattie... you should write an OS bodice-ripper !
-Just after reading this I looked over at my hunk of darkly handsome rippling muscle..
He looked up at me..
Our eyes met in sparks of fire & passion..
and he said in a deep and throaty voice..
..
..
WHEN'S THE DINNER ? :rotfl:0 -
Yeh, I feel yer pain, sister! When I met mine, on the unlit street, back from his rough land work, instead of enveloping me in a manly, sweaty and passionate embrace, making me forget my virtue, he grinned and said "Cor, I'm knackered let's go and get a cuppa!" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

I don't think that serving the Sheep's Head with the soup was very authentic. The meat would have been taken off it, (including the tongue which would have been sliced neatly) and either served separately or added to the soup!0

Watched this on Iplayer last night and really enjoyed it. Don't much fancy the Lambs head meal though :bleurgh:Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

I'd make Peter a better dinner than Ruth did. Alex could share.
(We have met Ruth a couple of times and I was desperate to ask her about Peter and Alex!!! she was lovely but quite detached and professional. She is brilliant with children)A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
