  • Great post Londoner, you've renewed my resolve to go to yoga classes!
  • Belfastgirl... it will be one of the best decisions you make! I have done yoga for 8 years now and counting... PM if you want to find out more- the only problem with yoga these days is that is has become so commercialised tand there are so many 'schools' and methods that not every one teaching it out there knows what they are doing (note- my teacher has been practising for over 30 years and teaching for 27!!!n None of that '2 weeks on Goa' certificate).
I am happy to give you (ior anyone else) a few hints as to where to get good classes... and it is money making too! Once you learn the basics, the ideal is to practise at home and then do a class or two a week...

Actually it was a friend recommending a particular teacher that made me really think about it again, my friend has done yoga over quite a few years and has a few injuries etc so does know when it's the 'right' person as opposed to someone who just has done basic training. Because I have knee problems I need someone who will work with me a bit rather than just shouting orders :) but would be interested in any advice you have as well, it's always good to know!
