Diesel on leather boots

I was filling up at the petrol station and the nozzle was fauly - when i looked down my pink boots (leather) have been splashed with diesel
Any tips on what to do? Does it evaporate off? should I try soap?
Any inspiration would be great - I have tried google - but as Diesel is a brand of shoes/boots I am having no luck

Sorry, I don't know how to get the diesel out but I do know you can get Dylon Shoe and Accesory colour in pink so maybe you could use that to cover the mark if you can't get it out.0
