    Not that strange.

Paul Dacre (who is the editor of the Daily Mail) does not approve of Cameron (or Osborne for that matter), but is a close friend of Gordon Brown.

Sounds an unusual friendship - getting on with the editor of a paper that slags you off non-stop.

Mind you, he should be worth a few quid now that his dad's died and once the estate goes through probate.

Don't be blinkered by your mindset. The paper does present more than one dimension.
'more than one dimension'? the mail? you must be joking!
the mail exists to protect and further the interests of its owner - my lord rothermere - by relentlessly pushing the line that what is good for rothermere is good for middle england.
judging by some views expressed on this board it seems to be getting through!

I thought the Daily Mail existed to classify every compound and foodstuff present on the Earth today into being either cancer causing or cancer curing.

I thought the daily mail's only purpose was to complain about taxes, the threat to middle england, complain about immigrants, and repeatedly and continually lament the demise of diana as she'd fix it all if she were still here.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

And also berate the BBC constantly. Not quite as much as the Sunday Times, apparently, which allegedly employs a media correspondent to pump out anti-BBC articles more or less exclusively (see Private Eye).

  • I have a rather good T-shirt, bought from a stall in Old St Tube Station, that states that:
    "The Daily Mail Hates Me".
No further explanation, clarification or specification. It attracts more people than a young puppy.
