Hi
I posted last night about my son renting a house with his mate. He has been to look round today and they are hoping to take it.The only thing is my son hasnt been working for more than 6 months(just come out of Uni) and therefore they are asking for a guarantor. My OH is happy to do this for him(I dont work full time so not able to) but we have had problems with debt over the years and I am just worried that this will show up on the check! We havent had any problems recently but I dont think we have a good credit score(well last time I checked we didnt!!!).It costs approx £58 per person to do the check and therefore that will be nearly £180 wasted if OH comes back and it hasnt gone through ok!!!! (they take the £58 for his mate, my son and OH!!)
Thanks for any advice!!!!

Another case of a company trying to milk more money out of consumers. They can apply to your banks for a reference and this costs between £8 and £10 a person...... not £58.
My advice don't pay them a penny and look elsewhere.0
