what do i do? im 18 and have no score.

ive been 18 since april 2010 and since then i haven't been able to be accepted for anything. cataloges, capital one i cant even get a current account with the cooperative. i understand that being declined goes against me, but what can i do? i need credit. will i be accepted for a mobile phone?
help!

    Why do you need credit?

    Nobody needs credit except to buy a house which at 18 you're not going to be doing. For anything else if you need to buy it on chuckie, you can't afford it in the first place.

    You've got no hope in hell for a good couple of years yet unless going with subprime lenders where you'll borrow £300 and pay back £500.

    With regards to a bank account, most banks (if not all) offer a basic bank account, it's no frills - no cheque book, no overdraft facility, just a card, the Post office offer a similar account.
