cat free to good home, antrim area

sadly my brothers neighbour passed away a few weeks ago. he had two cats. one was 4 months, and hadn't been outside yet, so i took him in. unfortunately the other has been out, and as i live 2 minutes away i can't take him on, as he would just keep going back to the same house anyway. he is around 1 year old, was originally a rescue cat, due to a very bad ear infection as a kitten he's missing part of one ear, and his little head is sometimes tilted, and he doesn't seem to be able to locate noises sometimes, but it's so adorable.
i'm not sure if this is allowed, and couldn't find anything about it on forum rules, but he is free to a good home for anyone that might like to take him on, my brother loves him dearly, but can't keep him as he already has 3 dogs and 2 cats, and one of the dogs really hasn't taken to him.
pm me for more details. he's litter trained, jabbed, snipped and all that business.

ANYONE:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
That has alarm bells ringing straight away, would you not at least vet whoever wanted to re-home, make sure that they can financially cope with cat, have experience of owning a cat. and all the other questions that come into this category.
An animal is a living breathing being not a product or a free sample to be given randomly to whomever aks.
A rescue would vet, ask questions ad home check not just pass on to anyone to get rid.
I dont mean to sound harsh, just realistic.0 -

thanks for the warning, but i'm not an idiot. of course he's not going to be given to just anyone, it has to be a good home, someone that can provide all necessary care needs and give him the love and attention he needs, i thought that much would be implied to most people, but obviously not. as i said anyone who is interested, pm for further details and all that needs to be can be discussed.0 -

when i lived in antrim (was 2001 !) there was a nice animal sanctuary as we got 2 kittens from there, they may be able to help the cat find a home xxxDebt free :beer:

thanks dm, he could always be returned back to the rescue, as that is where his original owner got him from, but as he's been happy and loved by people for almost a year now, my brother would rather know he was going to a new home than back to shelter. as he's not a kitten anymore and has his wee ear problem he might not get picked so quickly over younger cuter things.0

if i lived closer id take him in but im back in kent, only have the 1 cat nowDebt free :beer:

i'm sure he'll be grand. the rescue never put down cats, so if he can't be rehomed privately, he can always go back there and be fed and watered and everything, just won't get so much freedom, and no-one to give his little whiskery headbutts to, haha.0
