I do believe there are a lot of scammers out there but after this experience i also now believe that there may well be something in this fortune telling malarky.

I dont see a future in it. :D

Theres a fortune teller lives up the road from my mum. She put her house on the market and took it off the market after a year as it didnt sell. How come she didnt know that?

I'd say there may be people out there with the ability, but 95% are scam artists.

I didnt say either were sensible. Just that people appear to dismiss fortune tellers much quicker than they dismiss religion (especially people who claim to be religious)

Someone wanting to go and see a fortune teller is, in my opinion, no different to someone wanting to attend their place of worship. Both cost money in the end (anyone ever seen a poor church/chapel)

    +1

Given most religions profess to be religions of peace and love, they're usually not too behind the door about killing people who dont subscribe to their point of view 'in the name of religion'

its an open forum, you cant ask us to tell you what you want to hear, we arent the fortune tellers...

Was that aimed at me? Sorry, but I do not see your point. In an open forum anybody can ask any question. They just can not expect or insist it be answered.

to be honest it was just a general statement, i dont like the way people come on looking for advice then moan when they hear something they dont like.

if you want to hear something you like you need to ask the people who you know will give you the answers you want to hear.

Hey Forrest - see what you mean and I was just checking back here to see if you had found her.

I have been looking through loads of the NI threads on here and they all seem to be full of aggro/arguments etc!

Anyway, if you do get the details for the fortune teller, would you pm them to me - if it is the same girl as we saw, she was fairly elderly when we went 20 years ago but hopefully she is still around.

How do I remember it was exactly 20 years ago? She told me I would have a baby girl in either 1991 or 1992 - I pushed her and pushed her to be more exact she kept saying she just could not see exactly which year, yeah right I thought, young(ish) girl, wedding ring on finger, fairly easy assumption though not planning anything - long story short, I went into labour on Old Years Night 1991 and had my daughter on New Years Day 1992!

So in my humble opinion there are good ones out there and it makes a fun night with friends!
DJWW - cos we won't let it!

Anybody know Any good fortune tellers. Been to a couple about ten years ago but there was one women in hillhall lisburn who worked from the house. It was tarot cards and she told me a lot that turned out true. Does anybody know of her or if she still does it. A number would be good.

AFAIK this lady has since died. I know several people who went her and they were impressed with their readings. I think her name may have been Ellen or something like that.

    Good luck

@smokiewater - the lady I am talking about was in her 30/40's so there may still be another lady in that area.
