Freeview + dvd recorder twin tuner

I`m looking to buy a Freeview + box with a HDD & dvd recorder.

It must be a twin tuner so I can watch and record at the same time but does not need to record direct to DVD.

Series link also needed.

Any suggestions? Budget is £150 to 250

Your post is rather over my head and I haven't got the foggiest what a series link is, but I'll have a go just in case you don't get an answer.

humax always seem to get great reviews, I have one a few years old with a twin tuner and 80gb HDD, great piece of kit.

Humax is good, but AFAIK, they don't do a box with a dvd recorder as the OP wants.

Due to issues with having to re encode recordings to put them on dvd this is a very niche market and anything you can get is very expensive - this one costs over 500 pounds

The Sony at argos mentioned has one digital (freeview) tuner and one analogue - (pre freeview telly) not two digital tuners.

Do you need to record to DVD or simply be able to play the DVDs you already have? If so, then the Humax 9150 and a separate DVD player might fit the bill.

I bought my Humax about 18 months ago direct from Humax (manager's special A grade) for £80 - never had any problems, coupled with a £20 DVD player - bargain.
