Free wills in November through Will Aid

www.willaid.org.uk

What is Will Aid?
Every November, Will Aid works with solicitors all over the UK to run National Make a Will month.
Will Aid is a scheme designed to raise much-needed funds for nine of the UK's best-loved charities.
Join in this November, and you can get an affordable Will and help vulnerable people in the UK and around the world. But hurry, you need to do this in November.
How does it work?
  • Solicitors around the UK donate their time to support the Will Aid charities.
  • Instead of paying them a fee for writing your basic Will, you are invited to make a donation to the Will Aid charities.
  • Suggested minimum donations are £40 for a codicil, £75 for a single Will or £110 for a pair of mirror Wills.
Charities:

ActionAid
AGE UK
British Red Cross
Christian Aid
NSPCC
Save the Children UK
SCIAF
Sightsavers International
Trocaire

Contact Will Aid on 0300 0300 013 or visit the website to find a local participating solicitor www.willaid.org.uk

Comments

  • I have booked my appointment - it was very easy just submitted off the website and a solicitor called me the next day to schedule a date.

If you do not have a will please do not assume that all money will go to those you would want it to...

For example what if your other half remarries and they are fleeced by the new partner... What happens to your children's inheritance?

Please take this opportunity to take care of your family whilst also helping out some great UK charities.

  • I seem to remember a website that specilises in identifying qualified people that prepare wills. Does anyone have the address?

No it's not that one. From memory it was a website of a specilist group of companies/individuals that have the specific qualifications to make wills.
