Well, I'm now 8 months on from my debt free status and thought I'd post a little update. I've seriously enjoyed being able to buy things when I want them! Up until 2 weeks I'd done alright (not brilliant!) at saving and had around £3000 saved up. However this has now been spent on a 3 week trip to Walt Disney World!! I am so ridiculously excited that we're going on a seriously luxurious holiday, it's going to be no expense spared, and not a penny on credit!
In December 2008 I struggled to find the £200 required for a 3 day break in Rome as I was sinking under massive loan repayments (up to £1200 a month!). Now I'm going on a £6k trip to Florida. All thanks to MSE!
