While there are greedy people on here, ordering 12 - for goodness sake! - this will always b****r it up for other people. Get a grip people and stop being so selfish!

one person ordering 12 or 1000 people ordering 1 is both going to have the same effect.. they are still going to notice an unusual trend in sales of the one item.. it probally sold a few a week before..

and we all knew it was a miss price so we all ordered for the sake of it being cheap and at the expense of the company so we are all as selfish as each other...

    ;)

The problem is that I don't know whether the money has left my credit card because my card doesn't give me a real-time list of transactions. All I get is the real-time balance and because I've bought so much recently, I don't really know whether an additional ~£30 has come out yet.

Oh well, time will tell I guess. I'm sure I'll get an e-mail soon enough; however I can't help but get more excited as the minutes tick by.

Well obviously, I mean, same outcome. She put me on hold (I'm guessing to check the price?) and came back and put the order through for me so I don't really see the problem. They'd notice the glitch anyway when ridiculous amounts of orders came through!

People always say that but it's wrong - retail systems are heavily automated so they can keep staff levels low in the head office. That's why some glitches do go through despite large numbers of orders.

A department store can have up to 100,000 different stock items on their assortment. Nobody is monitoring sales of every single line all the time - often the first time they might notice is looking at sales figure reports the following morning.

There's always a chance nobody will notice quickly enough and orders will slip through. But if people phone up - there's no chance.
  • grr .. still no emails for me. im starting to wish it would just come through so i can put my trusty blackberry down for at least a minute & look for new glitches and bargains ... they've taken the funds though. x
