Debts and the Electoral Roll

Hi, not sure if this is the right thread or not, but here goes.....
My brother has debts everywhere, but his debtors do not have his address. As it's electoral roll time he insists he's going to fill it out without his name and state he's a foreign national and not eligible to vote. I have insisted that I'm sure it's illegal, but have stopped short of phoning and asking, for obvious reasons. Does anyone have any info on this, I can then show him the link, then maybe he'll think twice.

I would say that it is definitely illegal to make a false declaration on the electoral roll.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

It is illegal to provide false information and you could be fined £1000.
Look at your local councils website - under Electoral Role for more details.Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
