Mixed results in Harrogate store yesterday...one text code got the dreaded 'beep' and wouldn't work...but the lovely SA decided to put things through another way so I got the £5 off :T. The other text code went through, no probs, so a free box of Thorntons choccies....yum!! I lurve Debenhams! :rotfl:0

Thanks OP. Really pleased, as I now have two more xmas pressies sorted...:D
I got a Red Herring nail polish set yesterday morning for free with no problems. (text from my phone)
Then went back yesterday evening (text from hubbys phone) and got a Red Herring Eyeliner set for free with the 2nd code.
I was told that I can use the code but only if I deleted it in front of them once they had I entered it in the till, which I had no problem doing.
I have never seen so many people wandering around a store clutching and messing with their mobiles, as I did yesterday evening. :rotfl:Aims for 2014

OK, I hope that nobody takes offence, but there is really no point in asking 'has anyone tried this in X store?' - as you can see from this thread, different SAs from the same store can have very different attitudes/training! If one SA is horrible or doesn't know what to do, just say thanks and move on to another till! You will eventually come across a nice helpful SA who knows his/her stuff and you will get to use your voucher/text code.

Can I ask.. will I still be able to use the same email address for the text code if I have used it b4 for the £5 voucher ??
thanks0 -
just sent text using two e-mail addresses that already had paper vouchers and had text back with text voucher codes both within half an hour. just waitin for DD to come home and I can do another one from hers, I am gutted as my google+ vouchers have been cancelled and there is so many other things I still wanted to buy, so these will hopefully help£2015 in 2015 (Although actual goal is £10 a day)0

I've sent several SMS today but no codes
. They better not charge me if they don't arrive!

Unfortuntely you probably will get charged for the text messages, when I checked my online account I have.

Is there any action I can take if they have refused to accept my text? I was spending £60 in there and the SA said she would have to get her supervisor as she had never seen then before. The supervisor came over and said he could not accept it as he needed a hard copy! I explained that it was a text and not an email and he said it wasn't his fault and they he didnt know why they were sending out the text when they need a hard copy!
I know this is a 'free' £5 but I always seem to miss out!!
Any replies appreciated0 -

I'd call CS to complain and perhaps they'll send you a 5 quid voucher. Of course, calling them costs money unless they have a toll free number, so I don't know if it would be worth it. Maybe you could email cs?0
