What do you spend the money on?

Goodness I do it for so many reasons, most of which have already been mentioned. Main goal right now is to throw all spare money at the debts so in 6 months time I can begin the fight to be a mortgage free wannabe :T0

I am not very OS to be honest but I do try and do some of the stuff. I have stopped buying all junk like crisps and sweets and pre made meals. I have the £2 coins savings which has got us out of the odd scrapes financially. This month OH suddenly had no funds in his account and although he laughs at me quite gratefully accepted my £335 gained by saving £2, 20p and a carboot sale!!!
I have now gone down to a quater of a scoopful of washing powder in my machine, no conditioner (don't notice any difference in washing), use white vinegar for lots of cleaning and recycle more. I fixed my vaccum cleaner, where as before would def have replaced it (belt came off!).
However, don't really notice loads more money around.
Still maybe what I have goes further.
I still spend around £400 a month on shopping so I still don't understand how Black Saturn manages on £42!!!! £400 is an improvement.

I became OS to clear debt and be mortgage free. What I didn't realise is that I'd loose loads of weight and feel so smug that my family eat beautiful meals cooked from scratch. I feel that my kids now understand were meals really come from (i.e. not from a ready meal)....Good Luck Everyone:money:

I think you have summed up OS beautifully! It's not just about money, but health too, and being more in touch with the natural world, ie. where food comes from.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
