Tax calculation

hi i've just recieved my tax calculation and its says i overpaid on tax & i'm owed over £400 does anyone know how long it will take before i get it

Ring up HMRC and ask. If they do it online or straight in the bank themselves you will have it next week. If they send you out a giro/cheque to cash in you will be waiting 2 weeks-ish. This is obviously assuming it has already been arranged and they are sorting it out right now.

No - don't ring HMRC ...... you're wasting their time and yours.

Just read Note 16 on the P800 Notes that came with the calculation ......... as it advises you to do!

I wrote to them some weeks ago as I knew I had been charged tax in error by a Bldg Soc.
Today I received a letter and in the accompanying notes it does say that the amount they owe me will be sent within two weeks. Yours is probably the same. The form you received is a P80 I think but you do need to read it all.
