Hi All
I was going to post this in response to someone asking about cheap PMR sets, but try as I might I can't find the original thread. The post contained a response from someone suggesting the item in the title, currently a half price Argos clearance item, priced £14.99.
Well, I picked up a set of these as I've wanted some PMR sets for a while and they were so cheap as to be almost free! Because of their price I was expecting something more like those 49MHz kiddies toy walkie talkies than proper PMR sets - and while the radios are very basic in terms of features, their performance isn't bad at all. Transmission and reception capabilities are comparable with the £50 a pair BT Freeway FM around where I live.
A quick look round on Google shows that these sets share their internals with the BT Freeway Mini and Motorola T4502, both of these models normally sell for around £30 for a pair - so £15 for 4 suddenly looks like an ever better buy!
Crown Point Retail Park Argos Extra store had seven sets of these left as of yesterday. Hope this is of use to someone.

The Perth store had 7 sets on Saturday when I bought a set. Batteries, buy 2 get one free from Boots, so whole shooting match cost ~£21. One of the units malfunctioned, Argos replaced complete set on Sunday (probably 5 sets left then!). All working well now. I can see the battery bill mounting though as the kids love them.
