How do i build a credit history with existing accounts?

Hi all
Myself and my partner are hoping to take out a mortgage shortley and have been checking our credit histories to make sure everything is good.
With experian all is good for both of us, however equifax is a different story, my credit history is fine but my partners is poor due to "lack of credit agreements at the current address".
I find this odd as the accounts that show up as good in my history (which are joint accounts in both our names) do not show up in hers. We both have our wages paid in and both have the same debit card with our bank (hsbc) but they have not recorded her history, also Natwest which is her own long standing account does not show up in either.
Is there any way i can ask the hsbc for example to record her credit history with equifax.
Just for reference, both accounts have overdrafts which are being used and not exceeded.
any advice would be greatly appreciated

Lenders have their own credit scoring systems. So I wouldn't overly concern yourself with Experian and the like.
I would recommend using your savings to clear the overdrafts. Running an overdraft is a sign that you are not managing your personal finances as well as you could. Not a be all and end all. But a negative in these times of tight underwriting lending criteria from some lenders.0
