Rough month...

Through my own fault I have been left with £200 in my account to last me the month and still have the following to come out:
Life Insurance - £10 would cancel but pain in butt to do so and it covers me for my overdraft and CC should anything happen
Extra Bills - £15ish new dd set up to start this month, may be a bit less
Car Insurance - £25
Bank Interest - £8ish
Money owed to friend - £30 may ask if I can pay half this month and rest next month but I've owed it to her for a while now and she reminded me last night
The above are the amounts I know, and then there is everything else:
Food Shopping
Petrol
Dad's birthday present
Travelling to see Dad for birthday
Food for OH's romantic birthday meal was going to take him out but cant afford to so going to buy some nice food to cook him
Meal with old housemate this is tomorrow night and too late to cancel but going to opt for cheapest dish and drink water (pennies in purse should cover that!)
The ideas in red are what I can think of. If anyone can offer anything extra would be much grateful!
This is down to my own fault as missed credit card payment last month so had to pay double this month which has thrown budget totally out of window! Have learnt lesson and know how to avoid this in future!
xx

I would say to friends 'can I just meet ya for a drink after the meal?' Even a cheap meal and drink is money spent when you dont need to.Egg April 10 £6600 Jan £4678 now £0
Santander Jan £3414 April £3338
Virgin April£2643 Aug £3155 April £7109
Barclaycard Oct £1476 April £1287
So far paid off 17% of c.c. debt:T0 -
If you pay off those bills you will have £112 left for the month. How much is petrol and travel to your Dad going to cost? Have you got anything in the house you can use for his present? Do you think he would like a hamper or some wine on special offer?
I suggest you go through your cupboards and see what food you have in them. Post a list up and people will give you ideas for cheap meals.
You could try selling stuff on ebay to earn some money. Check your pockets and odd places for loose change.0 -

I'd suggest ebaying some stuff aswell, if you have anything lying around. Do you have any old mobiles you could recycle? Fonebank send out a cheque as soon as you send them your phone. Does your OH/parents have any lying around they'd let you recycle?
What about a bottle of wine or a few bottles of ale or something like that for your dad?#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
