Using MP3 player in Ipod docking station?

DD wants a docking station for her Sony Walkman MP3 player. DH won a Ipod docking station earlier in the year - is there any adaptor I can buy so we can use the docking station with the MP3 player?

funny enough we asked this question at the sony store a couple weeks ago and the answer there was no. pain isnt it?
u can get a Sony docking station but they are quite pricey unlike some of the ipod ones which are reasonable. lWhen you know better you do better0
