On a completely different note- saw touts selling tickets for the Wembley shows the other year- their knowledge of the band astounded me- "For sale- FOOD FIGHTERS TICKETS!!" right.....so Dave Grohl is going to throw custard pies at us all?!

Yeah I know, it is annoying. I wish they'd make presales more unique to minimise this. At least gives fans a chance before they get hold of it. I personally don't agree with the O2 priority. It should be a unique code for fans registered with the mailing list a few days PRIOR to the gigs being announced.

foo's used to do that, but the touts just sign up to every mailing list under the sun and still get them, I'm all for registering with seetickets and ticketmaster ala glastonbury style and my face being printed on any batch of tickets i buy or having to take ID or the original card it was booked on to the gig, all the things a tout wouldn't give you to prove that you or a close friend actually brought the things in the first place.
  • Thanks, got my tickets now. Had that link ths morning emailed to me but it wasnt working, glad i seen this thread as i assumed all presale had sold out. My hubby will be happy later.

Never going to happen though- the companies don't care as long as the tickets are sold. They don't care who buys them. Checking ID/photos would be fine by me too but can't see it happening- would take too long, and for people who genuinely have to sell tickets it would be a bummer too.

TBH though- publicising links on a public forum like this just feeds them too- particularly the informal touts who aren't clever enough to sign up to all the bands mailing lists....

Theyre amazing... enjoy! I hope i get tickets!
  • I'll probably stroll down there on the day (live less than 15 mins away)..... pick up a cheap late ticket from a tout.
Only time I've not been able to get a ticket for less than half face value there was Robbie Williams.
Paid £10 for Eminem, wife paid £10 for Bon Jovi and we got into someone else for cheap too (can't remember who though).
