  • I tried to get my with boots paracetamol and it didn't work. They sent me over to the pharmacy counter when it didn;t work and the lady on there said it is a pain relief remedy not a cold and flu product

I checked the box before I bought the paracetamol to make sure it specifically said that it could be used for colds. It says it on the front, I would have pointed this out if they had told me it was just pain relief. Sometimes you get an assistant that takes it too personally but I would have argued on this one.
Mind you, I'm a cheeky so and so at the best of times lol.;)

having read this earlier I added it to my boots list and got it with boots cold and flu capsules for 1-99. I also had some vouchers from my healthclub mail, and got half price boots own calpol, and half price slim fast, so got £15 worth of stuff for a fiver. If I have a few coupons I tend to make a joke that I am going to be awkward! she did have to do the echinea manually.
  • If you have to buy something else then it ain't free.

This is just another buy A and get B 'free'. Things like this are not freebies and never have been. They keep getting posted erroneously on this forum which is supposed to be STRICTLY for no-spend situations.

They might well be good offers- but in that case they belong on the 'grabbit' forum.

I'm surprised the mods haven't transferred this yet.
  • Thanks to the OP for this. I have just started taking Echinacea s l will see if the offer is on my card when l go in. If it had not been on this board l would not have known. It might not be a strictly freebie but as good as for me.
