Paid warrent of execution but letter saying not recieved!!

Really quick question, as I don’t have long on this PC.... hopefully there is someone around at this time of night ;-)
Approx 7 days ago, I paid £195, the required amount to settle a Warrant of Execution. I paid in cash, at the court counter and received a receipt. On returning home I called the company I owe money to notify them that the warrant had been paid and confirm that arrangements are still in place for continuing my payments to them as per the CCJ.
I have today arrived home to a letter from the Bailiff to say that as payment was not received the will take further action.... hopefully its as easy as calling as soon as the bailiff office opens tomorrow morning to confirm that they are actually in receipt of the monies and nothing will happen?!
I won’t get any sleep now!!
Thanks in advance

Hi Blackpearl, it will just be a letter that has crossed and a quick phone call to the court will be able to put your mind at rest hopefully. xxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

I agree. Speak to the court to reassure yourself. If bailiffs do call show them the receipt and ask them to kindly **** off!! :rotfl:0

Some County Court Bailiffs do not go into the Court daily, so the office staff may have sent out the letter not knowing that you had made the payment. Having dealt with County Courts all my working life, I would assure you they DO MAKE MISTAKES, and are often very much behind with their work!
Phone the Court and ask them to contact the officer, and then send you a letter to confirm the error!Be friendly to the people you know - if it wasn't for them you would be a total stranger!____________0 -
Yes, as I had hoped and you confirmed an error was made and the warrant was "passed back" (??) as satisfied. I have conversed with the bailiff who has confirmed this is the case and no action will be taken. Thanks all for your responses - sorry for the rather desperate efforts to keep this on the first page early this morning, I was having a “minor” panic!!0
