Mortgage with Tier 1 Visa

Hi,

I'm a banker working under Tier which is expiring in Dec 11 and I will reapply next year. I've been at this job for 2 years, downpayment 50%. Which banks good give a good offer?

Thanks

    So much more information needed.

50% LTV is good - but it depends on the overall scenario.

    What country are you from?

Have you also been in the UK 2 years or longer?

Currently should be ok, though I wouldn't be surprised if the lenders started tightening up given the current governments crazy attitude to capping HSMP Visas. It doesn't seem to be too much of a stretch to imagine people already here on Tier 1 visas not all getting them renewed with the prospect of very highly skilled doctors etc being forced overseas. Item on the news today here in Scotland about a network of private hospitals who have 400 nurses on HSMP visa's and have been allocated only 300 for when they come up for renewal.

Off the top of my head the fact that you have less than 2 yrs left will rule out a number of lenders, your own bank would be worth speaking to, and a good broker would be able to highlight some others that might consider. e.g. I had a similar case through with Nationwide on an exception, however only due to the clients being both Doctors in the NHS, otherwise it would not have been possible.
