Check out the 28 day flash data elsewhere and it's deeply flawed.
Still, seems you may be able to use the flash data right at the same time they release the monthly data
You're really going to have to think about this one mate.
Exact same methodology for monthly and, erm, rolling monthly comparison.
At the end of the month both co-incide.
C'mon now. I know the gears are turning. :rotfl:0 -

For clarity, here is a graphical representation of the monthly released figures
If your saying you can only loosely use the 28 day flash data that is closest to the month end then I'm not going to put too much of a fight on that one.
It's a bit spurious for me thus I tend to wait until the monthly releases are issued.
I'll show in the next day or two (can't be @rsed searching when I prove the data wrong previously) that the 28 day sata can be hugely erroneous when not taken at month end.C'mon now. I know the gears are turning. :rotfl:
No need for this, I have a good grasp of the situation and always back things up with facts.
You've yet to show yourself to be of an intelligence that I should fear or not be able to understand.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

Yawn.
What are you on about?
Ive simply made the point that it is EXACTLY THE SAME METHODOLOGY.
The 28 day rolling figures are relevant in that they cover - about - a month.
They co-incide with the monthly figures because the monthly figures cover - gosh lordy - a month.
You may decide only the monthly figures count. But then you'd run the risk of mistaking yet another short term statistical spike due to skew as something else, and making a complete Hamish of yourself.

You want to get out more mate.
Me, I'm just continuing certain discussions Spamish_Mctavish and I had been having when he pops in elsewhere.
Funny thing is, Spamish does have a habit of "missing" those salient posts that decisively contradict his own assertions.
So really, I'm just helping him out by popping in here.0 -

He has to have something..... the poor little boy has been delaying purchase in Edinburgh waiting for a crash since 2005.
Thats a £48,000 mistake..... Plus the rent costs.
I think the comic strips are art therapy....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
