DFW birthday/halloween party game ideas

Has anyone got any ideas for cheap party games. My 8 year old ds wants a halloween pary for his birthday and I am hopeless at thinking of games. :o I've already got some halloween decorations and I know I can do the food cheaply so that isn't a problem but I don't want his friends to think the party is boring.

Most of his friends hire an expensive venue:eek: but we are having the party at home to save money. I don't want his friends to think what a c**p party compared to theirs. So any party games ideas would be really appreciated. I know there are some really creative people on here. Thanks in advance for your ideas:D

How old are the children? Because a really scary game is the "guess the body part" game.

You can have peeled grapes for eyeballs, cold cooked macaroni for veins etc etc It can be as gross as you like!

    Hi HairyHandofDartmoor

You could do the traditional halloween games like dooking for apples and catch the donut, you can buy packs of 10/15 mini dounts for about a £1 hang them on string and tell the kids to try catch them with their mouths something we do at work with the kids at Halloween and they love it.

You could also go on a ghost/witch hunt make paper ghosts or witches and place them around your house or garden, give them say 5/10 miutes to find as many as possible.

Instead of pass the parcel you could play pass the pumpkin instead of taking the wrapper off the person who is lleft with the pumpkin when the music stops is out.

If I think of any more I will post again

  • Play the Coinstar game.

Sit them all down and make them count the contents of your penny jar. The winner gets 8%.

  • I haven't got a penny jar Minnie Spender, but now I think I should start one! (have to hide it from the kids though until the party).

No penny jar! It's an essential requirement of being a DFW! :rotfl:

Bung some choccy coins in there too to up the excitement factor.

If you're really desperate, I'll pop round. I can be a right old witch.

  • I feel bad now for not having a penny jar. Am I a fraudulent DFW? A visit from a witch would go down well I'm sure!
