There is no logic in that at all. I don't understand why Barclays would restrict access to a service that allows you to manage your money more effectively.

Barclays (barclaycard) are one of my creditors so I went with co-op. I couldn't be more impressed with their service thus far.

Makes me glad I no longer work in banking

I can't understand it but I am happy with hte Coop, they have been great so are all I need :j The service has been great online banking the lot :T so well done the Coop :T
If you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j
  • Thanks everyone :)
  • I was discharged last week but had full internet banking with Barclays from opening my account on the day I went bankrupt. Seems odd that it varies from person to person

Well the Barclays account was a separate account for any money my DH could earn doing a second job, so internet banking would be useful to have to keep an eye on the balance.

I will let him know and he can always ring them and ask for it to be set up. Cheers for that.

why not open another Co-op Cashminder account?

Both accounts could then be accessed using the internet....?

I have two, accessed on the same pages....one for permanent bills, DD's etc...the other is my 'running' account....

I never have issues with forgetting to leave enough to pay the fixed bills...each month, I transfer a fixed amount to it....once my salary hits the pages.....whatever left is feed , fuel and whatever I want to spend....
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

Agree with Alistair - just open another cashminder one. Keeps it simple, and the co-op really are good we have been really pleased with them.

Mind you with the way I feel about Barclays.... if they were the only bank on this earth I would be hiding my money under the mattress lol!
