Hi guys - what a mixed day this has been  First off, the snow lying deep after more snow last night, then brilliant sunshine and clear blue sky this morning, then it darkened and snow began again mid afternoon, not as heavy as yesterday, but still more to add to what is there already

I cleared the snow off the car and then rang sister to see what was happening today. Brother has said that Mam was asleep the whole time he was there this morning, hardly waking for her lunch and meds, so today seemed another one of those 'recovery days' when she nees to rest we reckon - as the doctor said, she is very frail, we have to remember that. My sister and I agreed that it was not worth risking going down if she was sleeping that deep, as the roads were not as good today. She had not gone to work as she'd heard that Metro system not dependable today with a section further down the line closed for whatever reason, and the buses were erratic with roads being bad. So we agreed to wait to see if it was better tomorrow - hope it is :(

I've just wrapped up warm and walked down to the local PO and greengrocers , to post some cash down to Mr 3Dogs and got some apples and pears at the shop. It was definitey a lot colder today  so won't be going out again tonight

3Dogs the buses have been running terribly. I'm hoping DH gets home as it's snowing badly now and black ice so not good. Good call to stay put. Your mam is safe and asleep so there's no point risking being out in it. I wish it was the summer!! I have not left my village for a fortnight now. Going crackers!!

Miche you sound like Penny she rang me says she wishes it were summer as we spend the weekends in Brighton. Out of the blue the british gas guy came and in 5 mins found some screw or something that was not fitted properly and now the leaking from the pipe (not in the bathroom as i thought) under the sink in the kitchen has stopped. Flippin heck it took him 10 mins. My cabinet under the sink is ruined. He said to call my insurance company as for free they will inspect it. I will in a bit. It is a bit stressful for me. I can't handle nonsense like this. Wish i had some choccy biscuits.

Glad you two have swapped details. i trust both of you. Now i can send you both funny emials at the same time. sure i have before. Susan glad you are in and mam is resting. I am frozen but happy the blooming leaking noise is over.

hooray. No marking done.... yet. Feel happy. What are you all doing?
