    Hi 3Dogs:hello:

I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I haven't been on MSE as much as usual recently but I have been thinking about you and your mum and wishing you both well. I've just read your update on the NSD thread and am glad your mum is starting to be a bit more comfortable and is finally getting the treatment she needs. It is appalling that you have all had to fight so much to get her the basic treatment she needs, though, but well done to you all for persisting and finally breaking through the NHS bureaucracy.

A big hug to you, you mum and your family for everything you're going through. Sending you lots of thoughts and good wishes.

Take care and don't forget to look after yourself as well

Thanks ever so much Spoony - I hope you haven't been ill to keep you away from MSE, and have just had other things you wanted to do more - I do know that you work very hard and then come on MSE to do the NSD threads which you have transformed since you took over. I can't imagine that you ever thought it could grow as much as it has, but it does take a lot of your time and effort so take it easy and make sure that you make time for yourself too, petal ;)

Good evening 3Dogs, haven't been around much as have been busy at work. Had a PM from SW and have just replied. Should be back to more civilised hours this week instead of being a creature of the night.
Are you still up this way? Enjoying the lovely snowy weather? I'm just outside Miche-land, and the road outside our house is white and six inches at least deep in snow. Thank goodness I have a couple of days off now, it has been a nightmare crawling to work and back with all the (other!) idiots on the roads. Hope your Mam is doing well, sounds like she's sometimes a little away with the fairies (or away with the show folk as they say round here) but who cares as long as she is happy and comfortable.

    Evening 3Dogs, Beanielou and Nargleblast.

What a white day huh. 1-2pm was the worst around here. Nargle a fellow northeasterner ;) "Show folk" I get ya. I say that but that's my Stanley roots coming through. Eeeek.

Hope Andy and Steve have had a good time.

Helloo i am back. Nieces just leaving. I have had a lovely day and seen the Harry Potter film too. Highly recommended. I jumped and cried in parts. Best one so far. Loads of pressies. Still opening them feel thoroughly spoilt. VVVV cold though.

Not a north easterner, Miche, more a Fen Tiger in exile from the town where the 3Dogses now live, but have been up here nearly 9 years and would not go back for anything. Though my parents were a mixture of East End London and Yorkshire, so I suppose I'm a bit of a hybrid/mongrel/Heinz57!

Glad you've had a good day SW, and thanks for the PM. Nice to know someone noticed I was missing in action!!

Snow? What snow? oh you mean that white stuff that has been falling from the sky on and off since 3 pm on Wednesday? That came back like a blizzard last night and overnight and most of today? That has covered even main roads during the day today? That stopped me going out at all today? That allowed my brother to go by bus to see Mam at lunch-time only for it to bring traffic to a virtual stop and almost prevented him getting back home? That looks so beautiful and yet is so cold and dangerous? That might stop any of us getting anywhere tomorrow, never mind down to see mam?

Oh, that snow? The snow that I took photos of this afternoon?

Do you like the giant glass of Guinness in Mam's back garden? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The only footprints up Mam's path were my brother's when he eventually got home this afternoon
There was no way I was going out to spend ages clearing the car of snow, trying to manouver it out and drive on THOSE roads
