Of course. Will have to get myself back on fb to show you the snowy delights. Love the snow but get scared when have to walk the girls along tha slippery roads to school. Actually Susan may get a lot more than us as we're further in land and it's coastal areas who are most at risk

Night everyone. Think Martin has a problem with servers..... hasn't paid his virgin media bills? or has been hacked with a virus again?? this one that makes the forums runs slowly? and bring back email notifications that stopped working over a month ago?

Hi Miche....take care on those footpaths...the forecast is for alot of ice so a good pair of boots is essential.

Have missed you on FB Hun...shall looks forward to the snowy pics.

Mine have been working ok aureol....have you made sure the `email notification` box is ticked in `user CP/edit options`?

Steve....if it snows we can all have a virtual snowball fight on here....not quite sure how that would work but at least we wouldn`t get hotaches in our fingers & snow down our backs:rotfl::rotfl:

Evening all - snowball fights, eh SSA? I reckon we could as we have enough snow here on Tyneside this afternoon - it was on and off snow and sleet all day, and then at 3 pm, it came down so heavy that it started to lie on the ground. I drove back from the care home at 3.45 pm in a blizzard, and it did not ease till about 6/6.30 pm. I dropped off my brother at the bus stop for Newcastle wheere he was going to an archeology lecture at the university again in a blizzard and drove down to my sisters, but the snow was so bad that we decided it was not safe to go to see Mam tonight. I spent an hour and a half chatting to my sister and her hubbie before driving home about 7 pm. Athough the snow had stopped by then, the temperature was starting to drop!!!

Mam was bright and cheery when my sister and neice were there this morning for an hour early on. I got there 10.45 am and ended up staying till 3.30 pm - Mam was asleep most of the time, but did wake for her meds/nebuliser and dinner of which she ate a quarter. About 3 pm she woke up properly but kept saying "I don't know what to do about this bed" then later "I wish someone else would have this bed" (which we worked out later as relating to when she was moved from hospital to the care home, we told her that they were moving as they needed her bed for someone else, so she thought if someone else needed the bed, she could leave) and then, just before I left, she told me and the nurse this again, followed by " I don't want to stay here"!!!

As I said above, did not get down tonight due to blizzards, but my brother is going down in the morning, then me later, and sister in evening

Evening Susan, We never got a flake of snow here today. been a bright sunny but very cold day here.

Sounds like the snow is bad up there where you are. just be carful driving as dont want to have any accidents either in the car or walking.
