Online Shopping new delivery times

Hi All
Not sure if this is the right forum for this but anyways.......
Over the last few weeks myself & friends have noticed that a number of online stores have changed their courier and now operate delivery times of 7am - 7pm and are unable to cut it down unless you pay even more money for delivery.
This is very frustrating as very few people, if any, are in one location all day. Previously I would have gotten items delivered to work as they would be between 9-5am however now this isn't an option.
The main ones I have come accross so far are Office, New Look, ASOS & River Island.
New Look I ordered an item last Saturday (23rd) and they have tried to deliver it several times even though after the first time I told them to return it as they would not follow instructions to leave it with a neighbour. Also I could not change the delivery address with the Courier - I need to go back to the retailer I bought the item with.
It's very frustrating and seems to have taken away the convenience of online shopping.
Has anyone else noticed this?
