I heard about this over the weekend, and was wondering if anyone knew where it was exactly, or what it is called?
I've tried google but can't find anything, was talking to someone over the weekend who said they had a clear out and took their stuff down and got paid about £7 for it.
Does anyone know the name/where it is?

I think it is called the Glasgow Recycling Centre and it is on the corner of Dumbarton Road and Crow Road in Partick. They pay 50p per kilo and accept clothes, shoes, bedding and towels.0

There is also one in between Clydebank and Yoker it also pays 50p a kilo think it's the same company.0

Think it might be cheaper for them than sending vans round the doors to collect.
That would be useful for me. Would appreciate if you could get more details.
Took sacks of good clothes into St Andrews Hospice Shop in Hamilton and didn't even get a thank you. On more than one occasion I have felt that I am giving them bother to have to sort it out. Have gone in after and seen lots of items, some new with tags, for sale so have made them a fair bit of money but fed up with the attitude. They are nice enough if you go in to buy but must see deliveries of goods as hard work.0 -

its on wishaw main street, roughly across the road from the royal bank of scotland.
i think i'll be making a trip there soon too.
i think a lot of the stuff goes to large recycling centres, the good stuff is kept and sold on and the rest get shredded and made into rags, these then get sold to garages and the likes to use to clean things. my company buys them in like this i think it costs around £20 for a bag of rags for us to buy....work permit granted!0 -

You could try this place
http://www.glasgow-recycling.co.uk/
I think they collect and they have shops in Clydebank, Partick, Paisley, Wishaw, Parkhead and Renfrew - 50p per kilo.0 -
There's also this one http://www.a1textiles.co.uk/
they pay 40p per kilo with 10p going to Yorkshill. Haven't tried it myself but saw a van in the city centre advertising it.
HTHLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
Just to be clear....these places are NOT charity shops, they are businesses.
It is not the same as giving to a charity shop at all!0
