2007 summer holiday booking

Thought this might be useful for others booking next years hols. We found the hotel we are after and checked the internet. Thomas Cook has the best price - £3214 (AI + kids). It was over £4k with Thompson. Anyway, I phoned this evening and they quoted £3064! So much for the net being cheaper. After some haggling, I got it down to £2892. On the phone they can go up to 10% with discounts I was told. A decent deal I thought.

Thats a great price.
We did a similar thing last year and picked our holiday from Thomas Cook (AI 2 wks, 2 adults 2 kids July) total price £3800.
I then got the hotel and flights booked seperatly over the net through Hotel rooms.com and globespan and booked a taxi from the airport. total price for IDENTICAL holiday? £1250!!!!!!!:beer:
it is worth shopping around and i certainly dont miss having a rep.
